Fast but lack quality We hired GM Flooring to do our kitchen, dining, front entrance, laundry room, bathroom and washroom. We went with the Vinyl LTV / glue down option. While a lot of the planks are butted up nicely together a lot are not. There is also pieces that stick up, are not glued right (they move when stepped on) or have to much glue and makes it protrude up. We can also see what looks like a 2×4 running half way through the kitchen under the floor. They don't do a very good job getting the trim all the way down to the floor either. Lastly the gray strip you see pictured is also messed up. It looks like they beat the metal piece (the piece that holds the gray strip in place) with a hammer. The strip is also ripped underneath but I don't want to cause it more damage by pulling it up to show you. The reason we know that is because we had to fix said piece as soon as they were done. We also called them back to fix pieces that looked like they had debris under them and some trim work that I stuck 3 quarters underneath (to show depth). The "debris" ended up being dried glue that formed a peak. They did fix it but should have done it right to begin with. To be clear I could understand some issues if someone were to lay one floor over another. That is not the case here. We had them rip out all the old tile and grout. Then they laid new plywood and glued the floor. I am not sure if all these photos will load. If they do zoom in on the picture that says D (as in dining room). Then zoom in on the picture with the K (as in kitchen). The difference speaks for itself. All the other pics are pretty self explanatory. I did learn a valuable lesson from this though. Do NOT let 7 different workers, work in 6 different areas of your home all doing the same job. For whatever reason that's how many GM sent here. Also if you do not speak Spanish you will not be able to converse with the workers. I had several questions about things and got "no English" from all 7. The "no English" is not a huge deal but the shotty work is. Would have much preferred quality over quantity.

Had flooring installed and transition piece wasn't ordered. They told me I would have to pay $80 for the piece to be ordered plus they were making me pay an additional $45 for shipping. They would not eat the shipping cost even though it was their fault for not ordering the piece. I ended up ordering the piece from Lowes and it only cost $60. The install was done by an installer they referred me to named Brandon. Brandon did an ok job but after the install a strip of quarter round popped loose. I texted Brandon and politely asked him if he could come back out and nail it back down when it was convenient for him. He didn't respond so I texted him two weeks later and kindly asked him again. He responds and gets defensive saying it didn't just "pop loose" that it had to have been "hit or messed with". The truth is when he nailed it down it wasn't nailed to anything (see pic). That's why it came loose. I didn't appreciate his tone and blaming me for it coming loose. He then went on to say it wasn't his fault that the transition piece wasn't ordered, and he didn't charge anything to come back out and put the piece down when it came in. It's been over two months and he still hasn't come back out to fix it. I doubt he will. I will not be using GM Flooring again.

I was less than impressed with GM Flooring. My salesman did not let me know that my quote did not include moving furniture. The furniture to be moved was two beds, nightstand, small two shelf bookcase, and a child’s desk. The installers said from the start they would not be able to move the furniture that day, but I find it odd they didn’t have a problem going into my three bedrooms, and moving the furniture they said they weren’t going to move (nothing was in its place after they left). The installers boss called and stated they would send installer to finish the bedrooms on Saturday morning. The first set of movers (3 people) damaged my wall that was professionally painted less than a week ago. The second installer cracked the frame to a closet in a second bedroom and broke the top off the nightstand, I had shoved in the bathroom, so the carpet could be installed. As I keep finding issues, the second installer left at least one item under the carpet (hard round area under the carpet). The installment quality is just not there (at least not for my installs).

I became familiar with GM Flooring when my mom hired them over 20 years ago to install carpet in 3 separate living areas. I was completely impressed with how well the carpet held up until her boyfriend updated her flooring on his own several years back. I hired GM to update my master bath in 2019, and then my loft in 2021. Most recently (April 2022) I had LVP installed in 5 rooms, a stairway, and a hallway, and I completely love my new floors. The estimator, Bob, was very easy to work with and he quickly returned my call when I had additional questions. I’ve now had 3 different crews here for installation and ZERO issues or concerns. Let me just point out that the last crew here, lead by Salvador, was fantastic and I’ll be requesting him when we are ready for the next upcoming makeover in August. He was shorthanded this day, but the 3 of them managed to knock out the 5+ rooms in one day and didn’t lack a lick on quality. He’s also very friendly and very knowledgeable. I did not shop around because I’m more of a “quality over quantity” kind of person, but I did several Google searches for the average price of what I had done and I have NO regrets. As a repeat customer, I very highly recommend GM Flooring
